History

During the years many people have visited Badhotellet. For decades it was tradition that "high society" came to Tranås to be pampered and to enjoy the treatments here at Badhotellet.

Some famous names have been seen here at Badhotellet, Lennart Hyland (Radio and TV), Tage Ehrlander (former Prime Minister) Astrid Lindgren (Author of childrens' books such as Pippi Long Stocking) are just a few of them.

In connection with the 100 year jubilee in the autumn of 1999, Badhotellet was visited by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, they were naturally the first people to stay in the newly renovated Royal Suite.

Badhotellet has been privately owned since 1st January 2000. A total renovation of the rooms and the Spa, undertaken with the greatest respect for the turn of the century milieu and atmosphere, has made Badhotellet what it is today. All this, combined with good food and first class service, is what ensures that our guests enjoy their stay and keep coming back.
